Hi,
I have replaced my first Anromeda with a second one, a few months ago. The first one had the problem that Tomi had (and a few other people have mentioned). The problematic voice was voice #6. Every time I woud hit a key and voice #6 played, sustaining that note would cause some weird modulation like an LFO sends some extra modulation, both with regard to depth and time, or like bad oscillator detuning. Nothing rectified this problem: I tried autotune several times, warm-up time at least 10 minutes, had it seen by an authorized technician in Athens, spoken with an Alesis person from Germany. Voice #6 was bad.
This in fact was the first thing that I checked when I tested the 2nd unit. Guess what? It too had this same problem in voice 13. However it was not that noticeable and as the first A6 it only occured within a specific range of the keyboard. (Those of you who have this problem check out manifestation in various ranges of the keyboard). I haven't checked if it still exhibits this problem, because I have learned to live with it since it is not that bad.
Ironically, having the A6 in the real world and not in beta testings, could make this synthesizer as perfect as it gets, although this is hardly the case with Alesis anymore.
