[A6] CC# in Mix mode

Hi

a little question based on not having used my A6 for a while
and not having it in front of me.

If I use the assignable external midi CC#s in mix mode does
this effectively mean I have those 8 assigned CC#s
separately controllable for each midi channel (meaning I can
have have 8 X 16=64 CC#s) or do I really only have one set
of 8 CC#s I have spread thinly over 16 patches.

I sure hope its the former!
