[A6] A6 current status...

The A6 is alive and well in production although OS development has stopped since 2001 since the Numark purchase of Alesis.  I talked to one of the A6 folks last december who is still at Alesis, and he says the A6 is a steady seller, just not a big seller.

I gig and record with the A6 and it is a great instrument.  Its shortcomings are minor when you compare its plusses and the worst bugs in other "unfinished" synths like the Sunsyn.  If you love to tweak and create your own sounds, the A6 is your tool.
