[A6] SRAM card bit info

I have been trying to get some replacement cards for the A6, and was told that
there are two types of Type I SRAM, one with an 8-bit transfer bus and one with
a 16-bit bus. Anyone know for sure which one the Andy is? I got cards with the
8-bit bus and can't seem to get them to work. Also, in most of the
documentation I've seen, there are three options for init'ing RAM cards: progs,
mixes, and progs and mixes. however each time I (unsuccessfully) tried to init
these cards, I was only given two options. Could that be an OS issue or do
other people get the three choices when they init a new card?
