Hello everyone,
I have been enjoying the Andromeda immensly, I have been pretty methodical
in trying to learn it well and thoroughly as possible, so I haven't been
using the effects at all, and I'll focus on different aspects to get to know
them well enough to be able to access them quickly conceptually.
Using the 24 db slope filter a lot got me thinking about the whole resonance
bass loss thing. I like the filter, I like it a lot actually, but I
somewhat fail to see the benefit of the bass loss. Having used other
filters that somehow must compensate for this because resonance doesn't drop
the bass or the volume, I wonder if anyone actually prefers the Bass drop,
and if so why? I can understand that it can be used for a pseudo band pass
response, but is there anything else?
I know on the Andromeda the post filter mixer section can be used to
compensate for the bass loss, but I would like to get some people with more
years experience with filters that do this to comment on any larger overall
value in it.
Thanks.
Ed
