[A6] Moog Filter use

Often times, I think the key to synth bass is simplicity. The key to 
making a good bass sound often *does* involve using only one
osciallator or an osc+sub. Two oscillators introduce phase 
cancellation unless the osc's phase is locked together (which 
doesn't happen on the A6 unless you have hard sync on)... or the
basic frequency is different. Phase cancellation is great on a string
pad, but not really desireable for your funky bassline. 

If you think of the classic Minimoog bassline, or for that matter 
most synth baseline sounds period, usually they're not very heavy on the 
resonance, if at all. 

There is an exception, of course. You can set the cutoff near the 
bass frequency you are playing, and having it keytrack. At this 
point, you can get resonant frequencies that emphasize the actual
bass note, which definitely would increase bass. :) Whether this is
good in the mix, who knows....
