[A6] Is there a way to use Audio-ins without pressing a note?

Hi all! I've been reading the list for some time now but this is my first
post here.

So, my question is that is there a way to get Andro's audio-ins going
without pressing a note from the keyboard?
It seems that only way I can open the path is by pressing a note but I'd
like it to work without pressing. Ie. Just plug a drummachine into audio-in,
say 15/16, select appropriate patch and start tweaking?
